Richard Tager brings over 50 years of maritime and logistics experience to Stingray Maritime. His career began with the U.S. Army Transportation Corps at the Pentagon (1964–1967), where he developed a foundation in military logistics and transportation management.
In 2008, he founded Gulf Coast Bulk Equipment (GCBE), growing it into a leading bulk cargo handling operation at Port Manatee, Port Tampa Bay, and regional Florida ports — managing over 350,000 tons of dry bulk commodities annually. In 2017, GCBE formed a joint venture with Logistec Corporation, one of North America's largest terminal operators, creating Logistec Gulf Coast LLC to expand operations across Florida, Louisiana, and the Mississippi River.
Richard founded Stingray Maritime in 2022 to build on that legacy — extending proven stevedoring expertise from Florida's Gulf Coast to ports across the Eastern Seaboard.
